The lobby exudes elegance, and the staff are fantastic, but the hotel shows its age with some quirks like stained carpets and outdated TVs. Parking can be a hassle, especially when the garage is full. Still, the location is perfect for exploring downtown Erie.

Had a great time with my friends! We walked to the nearby Erie Art Museum and the Warner Theatre, which were both awesome. The hotel staff was friendly, and our room was spacious and comfortable. Just a heads up, the WiFi was a bit spotty at times, but overall, we loved our stay and appreciated the close proximity to fun spots in town.
The only downside was the limited parking situation. We got caught having to park elsewhere for a night, which was a bit annoying but manageable.

I had a decent stay at The Avalon Hotel. The lobby felt inviting with its spacious design and classic vibe, and the grand piano added a nice touch. Staff members were friendly and accommodating, quickly addressing my needs. My room was clean and provided a restful environment. However, I encountered some issues. The elevator service was quite inconsistent, causing delays, especially during busy times. Parking was a challenge too, with limited availability on-site, forcing me to park off-site for a night. I also noticed the WiFi was spotty at times, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, it was an acceptable experience with a few hiccups that could use attention.

A Mixed Bag, But Service Shines
We stayed for one night in a very spacious Superior King Room. While the outdated furniture could use an upgrade, the staff truly made our experience enjoyable. They went out of their way to assist us and provided secure parking for our motorcycle. Consider dining off-site for breakfast.
